Kendall Kampout

every year my Grandmother and her siblings and all of their posterity get together for 5 days and we camp. now by camping I mean, in trailers and some even with showers, blow dryers, and queen sized beds! but yeah we still call it a campout. We eat, talk, play games, eat, sing by a big camp fire. I look forward to it every year and it is the only way that I remain so close to my first, second and third cousins. i love to see all that has come from my Grandpa and Grandma Kendall and their children. Joy in your posterity at it's finest:)
any way, I didn't get alot of pics of other stuff, because it was the first camping trip with an infant so...need I say more. I did get these pics of both of my twin bros holding Tess for the first time.
And John's little girl, Layla couldn't get enough of Tess-they will be best buds I am very sure of that!

the littlest bandit

I thought she looked like a little bandit when Kurtis was burping her. and you can see how she likes to hold onto things like her burp cloth and ...my hair and she doesn't like to let them go!

The Germans are coming...they came!

Short history: the second half of my Senior year in high school we had this lovely girl named Irka Schwert come live with us. She was a foreign exchange student from Germany-the land of many Germans:)- She was so much fun and we hit it off immediately so needless to say we have been sisters ever since. Well, this July they (they being her and her awesome, very funny husband Andre)came to visit for the whole month and we have had a ball! So thanks guys for coming and spending some time with us silly americans:) Tess loved hanging out with you two!

Du bist einshammer schpitzer! WE LOVE YOU GUYS! THANKS FOR EVERYTHING!

Every time they come they bring German chocolate and this time they also brought some cute gifts for our little Tess which my husband is so fashionably showing off here. the thing on his noggin is actually a little bandana and it looks cuter on her than on her dad...shocking I know!

July 9th

that is the day our little world stopped for a moment and we are now brought to our knees once more. the company that Kurtis was working for ran out of funding and layed off all of their employees. Kurtis was one of those layed off. this job was a blessing for the time he worked there, and he will greatly miss those he worked with, but we know there is greatness ahead and I know whoever hires Kurtis will be getting the best worker in the whole wide world. if you or anyone you know is looking for an awesome computer animator/graphic artist/art extraordinaire contact my man at kurtistaylor29@hotmail.com. his work can be seen at http://kt29.cgsociety.org/gallery/.

our little climber

proof that 3 week old babies can control their binkiesWe love our little climber!

Independence Day weekend

We had a great opportunity July 3-5 to have family in town. First we all met up in Logan, had some Aggie ice cream, and then road some horses at Uncle Dale and Aunt Donna's house. We met up with Tharon and spent some special time with him. He got to meet Tess for the first time and we got this cool pic of them on the swing.

What a cool day-it was actually pretty hot, but we had fun. All that were there: Kenneth, George, Kelly, Tharon, Kristine, Kent, Holly, Jordan, and Jack. It's always a blast to spend time with our fam and we appreciate the sacrifice made so we could all be together. Katherine, Jonathan and their kids came on Sunday and we had a great dinner together. What a great weekend! We are grateful for this awesome land of freedom that we live in and the sacrifices mad for us to live in happiness with family and friends.

The greatest Joy

So, as you all know by now, we have a new addition in the our little fam. TESS JOY TAYLORAnd the last pics seen of her were the day after she was born-in her cute, swollen Newborn glory.  So here are some new updated moments in her new life.

There is nothing in all my life that will be able to measure up to the happiness and pure Joy I feel to be able to be a mother. However, as a new mom I am still figuring out how to keep up on the hairstylist inside of me and get my rest (hence the beauty in orange above) so just focus on the little peanut of a girl in my arms and we will all leave happy:)
Tess totally loves just hanging out with her Daddy. I knew Kurtis would be a great father, but he still surprises me everyday with how great he truly is with her and handling everything else on top of that!
The first bath (or just after it, that is) she fussed and squirmed and then we put her in this little flower towel from Grandma Kathie and she calmed right down. Isn't she the cutest flower you ever did see! And yes, she is always that alert. She was born big eyed and beautiful.
What did you expect?!!  She IS the DAUGHTER of a cosmetologist! Those are her Daddy's monkey toes:) She grips your finger with them.
If I could describe what I have experienced in the past three weeks I would have to use ALL five senses.
I SEE:
Beauty not of this earth.
Little gassy smiles.
My husband in my child's face.
Knobby, skinny knees.
pink-everywhere!

I hear:
Early morning hunger grunts.
cooing.
lot's of "she is soo tiny!"
occasional dissatisfied crying

I taste:
cold cereal.
watermelon.
exhaust!...ok i know you can't taste that but under what sense do you put such an      overwhelming thing!

I Smell:
well...she's a baby and I change lot's of diapers...sooo
Milk on her breath when i kiss her cheek.
baby smell. It is a real scent and you all know what i mean!
new paint smell in her nursery.

I Feel:
happy.
smooth baby skin.
soft baby hair.
ok...exhausted would go here.
excited.
THE GREATEST JOY!
