help me Rhonda!!!

So here's the sitch. Tess has been on solids since the end of November and she has loved rice cereal and Oatmeal since her 10th bite but....she struggles with flavored baby food and by struggle I mean despises/hates carrots, peas, pears, and everything else that has any flavor! We try daily to overcome this, but I think she is on to us. We have tried mixing it in her cereal, disquising it in her colorful bowls, getting banana flavored oatmeal...well you get the picture. Anyhoo, we are open to any (safe) suggestions. So help me, even if your name is not Rhonda! Thanks all!

Wish I could help but Gavin was just the opposite. He would have nothing to do with any bland cereal but loves anything with flavor. Good luck!

Well, that is quite the predicament! I love the face she's making! Kaylee ate everything, so I don't know what to say. Will she at least take a vitamin?

In my early childhood nutrition class I learned the best thing to do is be consistent..it takes kids and their taste buds multiple tries to grow to like different flavors--the worst thing you can do is stop offering her foods just because at first she isn't a fan (that is how picky eaters are created)--just my opinion though..good luck!

one more thing and then I will mind my own biznass..my boys would not eat baby food at room temp it had to be heated or they wouldn't have anything to do with it..so maybe if you haven't tried that it might make a difference for her..ok thats all...

She is absolutely adorable! I love her face in this picture too, Anna has that same bib. Sorry, I'm not much help but Anna does hate her green beans so I had to feed her every bite at least three times. I'd put it in and she'd spit it back out, then in then out then in then out. Needless to say she would finally swallow it but it took forever. Good luck.

This is where we play a little game called "Hide the good stuff"!! (Cooper is not a fan and now he is very suspicious of what we give him but it worked...)
So... Coop hates peas and various other green veggies but like your little munchkin- LOVES his oatmeal! So... we started loading a little bit of green veggie on the spoon an then hiding it with oatmeal in front and on top... He LOVED it at first because he thought it was oatmeal and by the time he realized there was icky stuff, we shoveled in just a plain spoon full of oatmeal so he didn't really remember. We go back and forth and back and forth... it is truly a game of TRICKERY!!!

My neighbor used to give her kids chunks of real fruit in a little mesh bag called made by "Munchkin." You can by them at Target and Walmart. It is a little mesh bag with tiny holes and a handle baby can hold. Then they can suck and gnaw on the bag and get tastes of fruit without the choking hazard. It's a whole different action than eating off a spoon and some babies really dig it. Camille would eat things in it that she would never touch from a jar. Good luck! I LOVE the picture!
