our little climber
proof that 3 week old babies can control their binkiesWe love our little climber!
Independence Day weekend
What a cool day-it was actually pretty hot, but we had fun. All that were there: Kenneth, George, Kelly, Tharon, Kristine, Kent, Holly, Jordan, and Jack. It's always a blast to spend time with our fam and we appreciate the sacrifice made so we could all be together. Katherine, Jonathan and their kids came on Sunday and we had a great dinner together. What a great weekend! We are grateful for this awesome land of freedom that we live in and the sacrifices mad for us to live in happiness with family and friends.

The greatest Joy
So, as you all know by now, we have a new addition in the our little fam. TESS JOY TAYLORAnd the last pics seen of her were the day after she was born-in her cute, swollen Newborn glory. So here are some new updated moments in her new life.
There is nothing in all my life that will be able to measure up to the happiness and pure Joy I feel to be able to be a mother. However, as a new mom I am still figuring out how to keep up on the hairstylist inside of me and get my rest (hence the beauty in orange above) so just focus on the little peanut of a girl in my arms and we will all leave happy:)
Tess totally loves just hanging out with her Daddy. I knew Kurtis would be a great father, but he still surprises me everyday with how great he truly is with her and handling everything else on top of that!
The first bath (or just after it, that is) she fussed and squirmed and then we put her in this little flower towel from Grandma Kathie and she calmed right down. Isn't she the cutest flower you ever did see! And yes, she is always that alert. She was born big eyed and beautiful.
What did you expect?!! She IS the DAUGHTER of a cosmetologist! Those are her Daddy's monkey toes:) She grips your finger with them.
If I could describe what I have experienced in the past three weeks I would have to use ALL five senses.
Tess totally loves just hanging out with her Daddy. I knew Kurtis would be a great father, but he still surprises me everyday with how great he truly is with her and handling everything else on top of that! I SEE:
Beauty not of this earth.
Little gassy smiles.
My husband in my child's face.
Knobby, skinny knees.
pink-everywhere!
I hear:
Early morning hunger grunts.
cooing.
lot's of "she is soo tiny!"
occasional dissatisfied crying
I taste:
cold cereal.
watermelon.
exhaust!...ok i know you can't taste that but under what sense do you put such an overwhelming thing!
I Smell:
well...she's a baby and I change lot's of diapers...sooo
Milk on her breath when i kiss her cheek.
baby smell. It is a real scent and you all know what i mean!
new paint smell in her nursery.
I Feel:
happy.
smooth baby skin.
soft baby hair.
ok...exhausted would go here.
excited.
THE GREATEST JOY!

SHE'S HERE!
So Tess ______Taylor (We don't have a middle name yet) was born yesterday June 12 at 8:40 pm. She weighed in at 6 lbs 14 oz, and is 18 inches. She came after 10 hours of unprogressive labor which ultimately lead to a dangerous risk to baby so she came the C-section route.

Mom and baby are doing wonderful and are healthy and strong and beautiful. Of course what you all want to see are pictures so here you go.

KT's Birthday
Kurtis Ryser Taylor
I must tell you about the awesome and very sweet husband that I have. He is so much more than I could have ever asked for in a partner and he truly is just that, my partner. my equal. my best friend. Where others might get impatient he remains calm and understanding. And he let's me be me. His parents raised a fine man, and priesthood holder. He is a great example to me of what my Savior is like. Ever-loving and kind and excepting of all that is good. So happy birthday, husband! I love you so much!
Born February 9 1984

Kurtis and my bro Tyler share the same birthday so here we are at Jord and Mandy's house having cake with some good times on the side.

the San francisco treat
For Thanksgiving we had the awesome blessing of being able to go to Palo Alto and visit our family there and we saw Jesse and carly as well. We spent our first day in San Francisco (writing Francisco reminds me of the movie Elf .When he says "Francisco" over and over again-so funny) We went to Alcatraz and hung out on the pier. Lumbard street and Ghiradelli square and then we got to just hang out with our good friends the Smiths. it was sweet. no pics of that but the ones above are of our time in Palo Alto.
a request not forgotten
warning! warning! many posts to ensue!
First things first...We are alive and well and now we have entered the modern age and got internet! rejoice! I know, how cool is that. so, without further adoooooo ( I don't know how to spell that anymore) here is a whole bunch of what's going on in our lives. brace yourselves..it's alot to take in at once and there will be even more when our little girl arrives.

A tribute to my wife

So I decide to let you all know I have the best wife ever. She is hard working and has the true spirit of service and sacrifce. She handles being being pregnant like a champ and keeps up an amazing attitude. As much as she loves to have me around she lets me have my boy time which I am most grateful. She in those moments gives me the opportunity to reset myself and return with new life and excitment for the future and our growing family. So all I have to say is to you my beautiful wife is I love you and this is for you. I will aways be your solider, and protector of you and all that you love.

Sugar and Spice and everything nice....
we're still alive!!!!
It's true. Life can be a little busy with work and preparing for our firs little one, but the major dilemma here is we still don't have the internet! I never realized how much I used it until I didn't have it-moral of the story: learn to appreciate things you have while you have them.
Life is great in the small town of Provo and we really feel extremely blessed everyday. It's as if all the blessing in heaven were taking up too much room and they had to get rid of some so they sent-no rained them down on us. Don't get me wrong here, life is never easy, but through everything that life throws at us there are 100 blessings and lessons to learn. Good will prevail and(in my opinion) ALWAYS will.
I just wanted to let you know a little that is going down in P town and in our little fam.
-In August, i had the awesome opportunity to go to Germany for Irka's wedding and meet her -- family and see Europe and well...it was like I said...AWESOME! and a huge privaledge.
-Visiting Carly and Jesse in San Jose, CA-it was a blast. They were great hosters, and it was great to be among friends in far away places:)
-Thankgiving was spent in Palo Alto, CA with Kristine, Kurtis' sweet sister, and his brothers family Kent and Holly, Jack and Jordan. We played games, ate food, decorated for Christmas, ate food, went to the beach, ate more food, and well, you get the picture. Then we saw Karla's family-they flew in from Hawaii. Good times all around! Holidays with family are always the best!
-Christmas was also super fun and awesome. We spent four days at my parents home in Ephraim and got together with 5 of my siblings families. there also was alot of eating and fun going on there. I love the Christmas season and the opportunity to re-focus our thoughts on The Savior and his eternal love for all mankind. It was wonderful!
-New Years was spent at my bro Tyler's house and it was a blast! they got the wii for their family for Christmas and i was think I'm hooked now. I especially enjoy the cow racing.....you definately should try it out if you haven't already.
-January is the first month of the year and the first month I have felt GREAT in a while. no morning sickness her-nope! i really love being pregnant and ALL that it brings.
-We recieved a special phone call from Mom and Dad Taylor in Africa. They are having a wonderful time and doing a great job. We sure miss them a lot and can't wait for them to meet our cute little girl when they get back!
I know I have left out a ton of things, but I can't only be in the library a short while so I hope you enjoy this lengthy explanation of our recent goings on.
Long live good life, happy times, and eternal love.

Professor Taylor
My sweet husband had some neat new waiting for me when I got home from Germany. "So Chase from UVSC (UVU) called me up and asked me to teach a class there." So we talked it over and he decided to try it out. He teaches Mon, Wed, Fri, 3-5pm. the class is 3D Essentials and we felt like it would be an awesome opportunity for his career, so he is a teacher now and he loves it! I think it is the coolest thing that he just graduated in April and he is now teaching at his university-talented man if you ask me! He is still working at TTA and he looks forward with much excitement for the future. I love him and his hard work and I am thankful for a husband who has ambition and passion for his profession. He is the bomb.com! So here's to you Husband!

there's a first time for everything!
This was us one year ago. Time flies when your having fun! It has been one crazy year of school, work, surgery, fun, family and trips. Love ROCKS!
HAAAAAAPPPPPPPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!! So it has officially been one year since we stepped over the thresh hold of Childhood into the unknown world of married people. And what an awesome year it has been. We have had a blast getting to know each other mo betta everyday and there has been much growth. It's fun to have a best friend with whom you can spend everyday with and share everything with. Kurtis came home from work and set up this little picnic on the living room floor-Pizza and Root beer and a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
The day was WONDERFUL and it has been an awesome year of firsts. I love my husband so much and cannot imagine my life without him. We feel so blessed to have found each other and even more to have the same goals and moral beliefs. He truly is my bestest friend and we look forward to many more of these anniversary thing days.
24th of July
In my hometown of Monroe Utah we have a huge celebration for Pioneer Day and we get to see alot of good friends. in this pic we are watching the parade and I'll tell you it was something else! Small town anything is always ten times cooler than the normal big city things we do. This particular celebration alwayse brings out the city's finest citizens.
Good friends. Good family. Good times

read the fine print
This is a picture from our Ward Pie-o-neer Day activity. We ate a nice meal and the pie eating contest came last. I was totally content being a spectator only, but half of the people who signed up to do it didn't come..so my husband being the good guy that he is volunteered himself not realizing that it was a couple contest. So I was in for it as well. "I'm not afraid!" I said and we were off to conquer the chocolate pudding beast of a pie
bottoms up! after about 5 bites we were so over the chocolate pudding and we couldn't stop laughing at each other. This was a fun activity, but needless to say it was my first and definately last pie eating contest. Chocolate pudding up the nose takes day to recover from.
